Rhode Island Irish Dance School
The Kelly School of Irish Dance is a non competitive, performance based Irish dance school committed to teaching the traditional dances of Ireland, in a both fun and positive learning environment. Established in 2006, The Kelly School currently has locations in Coventry and Cranston Rhode Island. Dance lessons focus on traditional Irish Dance technique, with a contemporary and innovative flare. Classes are loads of FUN, and are offered for children, teens, and adults- for beginners through advanced level dancers. New students are always welcome. It is never too late to start! It is our hope that dancers enjoy every minute of their time here with our school!
The Kelly School of Irish Dance is a proud member of the American Association of Irish Dancers & Teachers.
Soft-shoe dancing and Ceili dancing are taught at all levels Hard-shoe dancing is taught in Levels 3 through Adult. Upper level classes are not divided by age, but by ability. Students move through levels at the discretion of the teacher. Each year Kelly Irish Dancers perform at various locations throughout the state and perform for family and friends at our annual dance recital.

Meghan Kelly is the director, and choreographer of The Kelly School of Irish Dance. She began her training and her love of Irish Dance in 1990, with The Goulding School. In 2006, at the age of 22, Meghan founded her dance school. Since then she has taught Irish dance to her dancers, as well as countless students in elementary schools, girl scout troupes, and dance schools throughout the state. She is a former champion Irish dancer, and has performed throughout the North Eastern US, Canada, and Ireland. She is an active member of The American Association of Irish Dancers & Teachers, and she absolutely loves sharing her love of Irish dance with her terrific dancers.
